Christmas House has been the annual fundraising project of Women’s Civic League for the last 54 years.  WCLC is a non-profit organization and Christmas House proceeds benefit local organizations and projects in Laramie County, Wyoming.  There are few non-profit organizations in the community that have not benefited from the hard work, dedication, and generosity of our members.

Each year the majority of the money raised through Christmas House is distributed through the club’s Community Grant Committee process and our Community Service Program Committees.

Grants paid from the proceeds of Christmas House 2021 include, but were not limited to:

Cheyenne Botanic Gardens - Women’s Civic League Peace Garden Refurbishment, $25,000

Cheyenne Little Theatre - sound system upgrades for the Atlas Theatre, $8,769

Support Our Students - annual Adopt-a-Child Christmas event, $3,387.40

CFD Old West Museum - updating the Hole-in-the-Wall Children’s Gallery with new flooring and paint, $2,810.31

Additionally, scholarships were awarded to Laramie County high school seniors.

Christmas House 2020: Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time in 52 years, Christmas House 2020 was not held at a physical location.  Instead, the Christmas House was held online.  This included a crafts auction, baked goods sale, and raffle.  Due to the dedication of our members and faithful customers, we were still able to offer several grants.
